Tickets on Sale for The Flying Fool

Kids — Tickets on sale Wednesday, July 9. $2.00 per ticket for this special event.
Program date: Wednesday, July 30. All ages, children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult.
We’re bringing back one of your all-time favorite performers! Comedian Ken Schultz, aka “The Flying Fool”, will dazzle audiences of all ages. He uses a symphony of juggling, physical comedy, humor, and improvisation. Limited to 100 tickets. Tickets are non-refundable.


Movie Night at the Library
Monday, July 28    6:30 p.m.
Adults — Based on the true story of the greatest treasure hunt in history, a World War II platoon's mission behind enemy lines to rescue artistic masterpieces from Nazi thieves. Stars George Clooney, Matt Damon, Bill Murray and John Goodman. Rated PG-13. 2014.


Wii Would Like to Play...Would You?
Tuesday, July 29    2:15 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Kids — Come to the library to play Wii games. Try your skills, enjoy some snacks, and cheer your friends on as they play. Attendance is limited to the first 30 players. For ages 6 and up. No registration required.

It's Showtime!

Kids — Join us for a free kids' movie. Soar with Dusty, a plane who dreams of becoming a daring air racer. Free snacks and drinks will be served. Rated PG. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult.


New Life for Old Bags
Saturday, August 9    10:30 a.m. - noon
Adults — Help make sleeping mats for the homeless. Volunteers will meet at the library on the 2nd Saturday of every month to make “plarn” (discarded plastic shopping bags cut into strips for crocheting). Volunteers are also needed to crochet mats. KenGen Genealogy Group
Saturday, August 9    1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Adults — For both experienced and new genealogy researchers. No registration required.


Writers' Group
Thursday, August 14    6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Adults — Come join other writers to discuss your work. Meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month in the Library Board Room. No registration required. Open to adults and high school students.


Health Insurance Answers
Friday, August 15    10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Adults — Are you confused about the New Healthcare Law (ACA) and looking for answers? Please stop by the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois table located by the entrance to our meeting room to have your questions answered by a licensed representative.


Smallville SUPERFEST Book Sale
Friday, August 15 - Saturday, August 23   
Adults — The Friends of the Library Book Sale will be held in the meeting room during regular library hours. On August 23rd all items will be sold for $4.00 a bag (bags are provided) and the sale will close at 2:00 p.m. All VHS tapes & audio cassettes will be given away on the last day of the sale.
