New Life for Old Bags
Saturday, February 11    10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Adults — Help make sleeping mats for the homeless. Volunteers will meet at the library on the 2nd Saturday of every month to make "plarn" (discarded plastic shopping bags cut into strips for crocheting). Volunteers are also needed to crochet mats at home. Donated plastic bags for the project can be dropped off at the library. Wednesday Night Book Group
Wednesday, February 15    1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Adults — Get together with other readers for an interesting discussion. "Dead Wake" by Erik Larson will be discussed. The book for March, "A Walk in the Woods" by Bill Bryson will be available at the Check-Out Desk. No registration required. Newcomers are welcome any time.


Knit and Crochet Group
Thursday, February 16    10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Adults — This informal group works on their own projects, discusses types and colors of yarns, and helps each other with new or tricky patterns. They love to watch each other's projects develop. Participants bring their own supplies. They invite you to stop by and "yarn" awhile. No registration required.

Drop-In Job Search and Résumé Help

Adults — Need assistance exploring job opportunities online or does your résumé need enhancing? Come to the library for one-on-one assistance. An Illinois WorkNet Representative will be available to answer your job search questions and provide résumé assistance. Location: Study Room B.


KenGen Genealogy Group

Adults — Both experienced and new genealogy researchers will enjoy the KenGen Genealogy Group sessions.


Me & My Grown-Up Storytime
Mondays: February 20, 27 & March 6, 13    6:00 p.m. - 6:40 p.m.
Kids — For 3 and 4 year-olds with their grown-up. This transitional storytime is perfect for the little one who's not ready for independent storytime. Grown-ups will stay in the room and actively participate in the program with their child. Features simple stories, rhymes, movement activities, songs, and art experiences. Independent Storytime for 3's, 4's, and 5's
Mondays: February 20, 27 & March 6, 13    10:30 a.m. - 11:10 a.m. OR 1:00 p.m. - 1:40 p.m.
Kids — For independent 3-5 year-olds, without an adult. Features simple stories, music, movement activities, and a simple craft. Parents must remain in the Kids' Library during storytime. Call 630-552-2025 to register.
