New Life for Old Bags
Saturday, March 12 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Adults — Help making sleeping mats for the homeless. Volunteers will meet at the library on the 2nd Saturday of every month to make "plarn" (discarded plastic shopping bags cut into strips for crocheting). Volunteers are also needed to crochet mats at home. Donated plastic bags for the project can be dropped off at the library. World War II Posters – The Homefront Campaign

Adults — Our library’s historic collection of World War II posters are the focus of Dr. Timothy Draper’s discussion of the strategies used to rally public support for the war. This extensive collection of posters provides a glimpse of wartime life on the homefront. No registration required.

Kids — Join us as we figure out how to build tall, strong towers. We'll be building with different materials (marshmallows and gum drops) each time. You'll be able to take home your completed towers.
