Long Term Care Planning

Writers' Group
Thursday, October 8    6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Adults — Come join other writers to discuss your work. Meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month in the Library Board Room. No registration required. Open to adults and high school students.

Legos at the Library
Thursday, October 8    5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Kids — What can you create? We’ll provide the Legos® so please bring your imagination! All ages, children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.

New Life for Old Bags
Saturday, October 10    10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Adults — Help making sleeping mats for the homeless. Volunteers will meet at the library on the 2nd Saturday of every month to make "plarn" (discarded plastic shopping bags cut into strips for crocheting). Volunteers are also needed to crochet mats at home. Donated plastic bags for the project can be dropped off a the library. For more information, contact Ceil Carey at or 708-846-1704.

Movie Night

All About Scholarships
Monday, October 19    7:00 p.m.
Adults — Learn where to look for college scholarships and how to make your application shine. The basics of a scholarship application are included with tips from successful applicants. Presented by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission No registration required.

Pizza & Pages
Tuesday, October 20    4:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.

Wednesday Night Book Group
