Friends of the Library Books & More Sale
Friday, April 17 - Saturday April 25   
Adults — The Friends of the Library Book Sale will be held in the meeting room during regular library hours.This sale will also feature miscellaneous computer & electronic equipment. On April 25 all items will be sold for $4.00 a bag (bags are provided) and the sale will close at 2:00 p.m. All VHS tapes & audio cassettes will be given away on the last day of the sale.


KenGen Genealogy Group
Saturday, April 18    1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Adults — For both experienced and new genealogy researchers. No registration required.


Pizza & Pages
Monday, April 21    4:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Kids — For grades 6-8. We'll all read the same book before the meeting, talk about it, and have some pizza! Call 630-552-2025 to register.


Writers' Group
Thursday, April 23    6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Adults — Come join other writers to discuss your work. Meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month in the Library Board Room. No registration required. Open to adults and high school students.


Let's Have a Tea Party!
Saturday, May 2    1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Kids — Celebrate spring with us at an afternoon of tea and refreshments. We'll talk about manners, tea history, and share tea stories. There will also be crafts and more. We'd love it if you dress up! For grades 1-5. Limit 25. Call 630-552-2025 to register. Presented by Teas by Jo and Ceil.


What!? I'm not Eating Food?

Adults — Ready to take a good look at what you may be eating? Let's get past the marketing schemes and discover what's really in our food. Join Certified Health Coach Dina Wisniewski (Institute of Integrative Nutrition) on a journey to see more clearly the things some companies don't want you to know. No registration required.


Legos, Legos, and More Legos

Kids — Ages 5 and up, no registration required. What can you create? We’ll provide the Legos® so please bring your imagination!


New Life for Old Bags
Saturday, May 9    10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Adults — Help making sleeping mats for the homeless. Volunteers will meet at the library on the 2nd Saturday of every month to make "plarn" (discarded plastic shopping bags cut into strips for crocheting). Volunteers are also needed to crochet mats at home. Donated plastic bags for the project can be dropped off a the library.
