Messy Munchkins
Tuesday, June 28    10:30 am. - 11:30 a.m.
Kids — Squish and smush your way to the benefits of messy play with us! Edible goo, rainbow spaghetti, and lots of other sensory experiences will be available. Come dressed for mess! For children ages 0-5 only, with a grown-up. Older siblings may wait in the Kids' Library during the program. Registration is required and can be done in person or by calling 630-552-2025. Limit: 30.


Gigantic Fun
Wednesday, June 29    2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Kids — Come for giant stories, activities, and a craft. For independent students entering grades 1-5 only. Parents and younger siblings may wait in the Kids' Library during the program. Registration is required and can be done in person or by calling 630-552-2025. Limit: 30.


Kids' Movie
Thursday, June 30    1:00 p.m. - 2:25 p.m.
Kids — Free movie for kids. Elliot, Boog, Mr. Weenie and all your favorite woodland creatures are back in a brand new, comedy adventure! Rated PG. All ages, children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. Free refreshments served. No registration required. Attendance is limited to the first 80 people.

Be Creative
Wednesday, July 6    2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Kids — Look, learn, and create! We'll have a "make and take" craft project available as well as supplies for open art exploration. Unleash your imagination and creativity. For independent students entering grades 1-6. Parents and younger siblings may wait in the Kids' Library during the program. Registration is required and can be done in person or by calling 630-552-2025. Limit: 35.


Kids' Movie
Thursday, July 7    1:00 p.m. - 2:35 p.m.
Kids — Free movie for kids. An epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. Rated PG. All ages, children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. Free refreshments served. No registration required. Attendance is limited to the first 80 people.


Sensory Storytime
Saturday, July 9    10:30 am. - 11:00 a.m.
Kids — Open to all, but designed for children ages 3-6 with autism or sensory processing disorders. Features books, music, and movement activities. All abilities welcome with an adult caregiver. Call 630-552-2025 to register.


New Life for Old Bags
Saturday, July 9    10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Adults — Help making sleeping mats for the homeless. Volunteers will meet at the library on the 2nd Saturday of every month to make "plarn" (discarded plastic shopping bags cut into strips for crocheting). Volunteers are also needed to crochet mats at home. Donated plastic bags for the project can be dropped off at the library. Teens — Free movie targeted to teens, but open to all ages. Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, to plan and pull off a heist that will save the world in Marvel Studios' Ant-Man. Rated PG-13. Refreshments served.
