Are You Curious About Medical Cannabis?
Monday, February 5    6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Adults — Medical marijuana is now available in Illinois. Kirsten Velasco, a volunteer for Illinois Women in Cannabis, will discuss the laws, science, application process and patient experience. A question and answer period will follow. No registration needed.

Diabetes Overview

Adults — Do you or someone you know have diabetes? Join Laura Barr from the University of Illinois Extension for an overview of the disease, with tips on how to manage and make lifestyle choices to maintain your health. A free workbook, Living Well With Diabetes, will be distributed. No registration needed.

Drop-In Job Search and Résumé Help

Reading Rocks-Rock Painting
Saturday, February 17    10:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
Adults, Teens, Kids — Join us for rock painting, in collaboration with “Plano Area Rocks”. We encourage you to show your library love by painting a library, reading, or book themed rock. The first person who finds and posts one of the rocks painted at the event on the "Plano Area Rocks" Facebook page will win a rock painting starter kit. Paint and brushes will be provided. Me & My Grown-Up Storytime
Mondays: February 19, 26 & March 5, 12    6:30 p.m. - 7:10 p.m.
Kids — For 3 and 4 year-olds with their grown-up (no younger siblings allowed). This transitional storytime is perfect for the little one who's not ready for independent storytime. Grown-ups will stay in the room and actively participate in the program with their child. Features simple stories, rhymes, movement activities, songs, and art experiences.
