Mental Health First Aid Training
Monday, October 9 6:30 p.m.
Adults — This program presents an overview of mental health issues, how to identify them, and what you can do to help someone who has a mental illness, anxiety, or depression. Presented by the Kendall County Health Department No registration needed.

Kids — For students in grades 6-9. We'll all read the same book before the meeting, talk about it, and have some pizza. Call 630-552-2025 to register.
Wednesday, October 11 10:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. OR 6:30 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
Kids — Explore letter sounds and handwriting in a fun, interactive, and multisensory way. We'll have a variety of phonics stations for self-paced exploration. Targeted to ages 3-6, with an adult. Call 630-552-2025 to register.
Knit and Crochet Group
Thursday, October 12 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Adults — This informal group works on their own projects, discusses types and colors of yarns, and helps each other with new or tricky patterns. They love to watch each other's projects develop. Participants bring their own supplies. They invite you to stop by and "yarn" awhile. No registration required.

Adults and Teens — Come join other writers to discuss your work. Meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month in the Library Board Room. No registration required. Open to adults and high school students.
New Life for Old Bags
Saturday, October 14 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Kids — Little ones can squish and smush their way to the benefits of messy play with us. Things to touch, smell, see, hear, and lots of other sensory experiences will be available. This is a child-directed program, enjoy as many of the activities as they'd like and stay for as little as 10 minutes or the full 45 minutes. Come dressed for fun. For children 0-5, with a grown-up. Older siblings may wait in the Kids' Library during the program. Call 630-552-2025 to register.
Legos at the Library
Wednesday, October 18 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Kids — Walk into a room full of Legos and Duplos and let your imagination guide you. Open to all ages, children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.
