Pizza & Pages
Thursday, March 23    4:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Kids — For grades 3-5. We'll all read the same book before the meeting, talk about it, and have some pizza! Call 630-552-2025 to register.


Planning and Planting a Veggie Garden
Monday, March 27    6:30 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.
Adults — You can feed your whole family fruits and vegetables from your own garden. From site preparation, including size, location and soil, through harvest, Master Gardener Heather DeVoe will give tips and tricks for successful vegetable gardening. Location: Meeting Room.


Dog Day Afternoon
Wednesday, March 29    1:30 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.
Kids — Come sit with a certified therapy dog and practice reading aloud. Bring a book along or we can provide books for you. When you sign up youíll register for a 15-minute time slot. For independent students in grades K-8 only. Parents and younger siblings may wait in the Kidsí Library during the program. Registration is required and can be done in person or by calling 630-552-2025.


Knit and Crochet Group
Thursday, March 30    10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Adults — This informal group works on their own projects, discusses types and colors of yarns, and helps each other with new or tricky patterns. They love to watch each other's projects develop. Participants bring their own supplies. They invite you to stop by and "yarn" awhile. No registration required.


Independent Storytime for 3's, 4's, & 5's
Mondays: April 3, 10, 17, 24    10:30 a.m. - 11:10 a.m. OR 1:00 p.m. - 1:40 p.m.
Kids — For independent 3-5 year-olds, without an adult. Features simple stories, music, movement activities, and a simple craft. Parents must remain in the Kids' Library during storytime. Call 630-552-2025 to register.


Me & My Grown-Up Storytime
Mondays: April 3, 10, 17, 24    6:00 p.m. - 6:40 p.m.
Kids — For 3 and 4 year-olds with their grown-up. This transitional storytime is perfect for the little one who's not ready for independent storytime. Grown-ups will stay in the room and actively participate in the program with their child. Features simple stories, rhymes, movement activities, songs, and art experiences. Call 630-552-2025 to register.


Independent Storytime for 4's & 5's
Tuesdays: April 4, 11, 18, 25    1:00 p.m. - 1:40 p.m. OR 6:30 p.m. - 7:10 p.m.
Kids — For independent 4 and 5 year-olds only, without an adult. Features longer stories, activities, music, and a craft. Parents must remain in the Kids' Library during the program. Call 630-552-2025 to register.

Rhyme Time
Wednesdays: April 5, 12, 19, 26    10:30 am. - 11:00 a.m. OR 11:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. OR 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Kids — For babies to age 3 accompanied by an adult. This lap sit storytime features action rhymes, finger plays, songs, movement activities, a simple story, and parent-child reading time. Active adult participation is an integral part of this program. Call 630-552-2025 to register.


One-On-One Genealogy Research Assistance
Thursday, April 6    2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Adults — Just getting started on a family history project or looking for help with a genealogy "brick wall'? Call 630-552-2030, stop by the library, or email jvalentine@planolibrary.info to reserve a one-hour help session. Not meant to replace paid genealogical research assistance, this free program offers one-on-one help with your genealogical or local history research. Location: Study Room B.
