Knit and Crochet Group
Thursday, April 6    10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Adults — This informal group works on their own projects, discusses types and colors of yarns, and helps each other with new or tricky patterns. They love to watch each other's projects develop. Participants bring their own supplies. They invite you to stop by and "yarn" awhile. No registration required.


Rhyme Time
Thursdays: April 6, 13, 20, 27    10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Kids — For babies to age 3 accompanied by an adult. This lap sit storytime features action rhymes, finger plays, songs, movement activities, a simple story, and parent-child reading time. Active adult participation is an integral part of this program. Call 630-552-2025 to register.


Readtaculars-Buckaroo's Round Up
Thursday, April 6    4:15 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Kids — Join us for an indoor rodeo and cowboy stories. For independent students in grades K-3. Parents and younger siblings may wait in the Kids' Library during the program.Call 630-552-2025 to register.


Sensory Storytime
Saturday, April 8    10:30 am. - 11:00 a.m.
Kids — Open to all, but designed for children ages 3-6 with autism or sensory processing disorders. Features books, music, and movement activities. All abilities welcome with an adult caregiver. Call 630-552-2025 to register.


New Life for Old Bags
Saturday, April 8    10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Adults — Help making sleeping mats for the homeless. Volunteers will meet at the library on the 2nd Saturday of every month to make "plarn" (discarded plastic shopping bags cut into strips for crocheting). Volunteers are also needed to crochet mats at home. Donated plastic bags for the project can be dropped off at the library. Foods Resource Bank Presentation
Monday, April 10    6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Adults — Local resident Jerry Lundeen will talk about Foods Resource Bank, a humanitarian organization which helps materially poor people around the world to grow their own food in lasting ways. He will also share ways to become involved with their work to fight world hunger. Location: Meeting Room.


Pizza & Pages
Tuesday, April 11    4:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Kids — For students in grades 6-8. We'll all read the same book before the meeting, talk about it, and have some pizza! Call 630-552-2025 to register.

Adults and Teens — Come join other writers to discuss your work. Meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month in the Library Board Room. No registration required. Open to adults and high school students.
