Pizza & Pages

Kids — For students entering grades 6-9. We'll all read the same book before the meeting, talk about it, and have some pizza. Call 630-552-2025 to register.


Open Saturday Storytime
Saturday, August 12    10:30 am. - 11:00 a.m.
Kids — This program is designed for ages 3-6. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Features simple stories, rhymes, movement activities and songs. No registration required.


New Life for Old Bags
Saturday, August 12    10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Wednesday Night Book Group
Wednesday, August 19    7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Adults — Get together with other readers for an interesting discussion. "Maisie Dobbs" by Jacqueline Winspear will be discussed. The book for September, "Inn at Rose Harbor" by Debbie Macomber will be available at the Check-Out Desk. No registration required. Newcomers are welcome any time.


Knit and Crochet Group

Adults — This informal group works on their own projects, discusses types and colors of yarns, and helps each other with new or tricky patterns. They love to watch each other's projects develop. Participants bring their own supplies. They invite you to stop by and "yarn" awhile. No registration required.


Drop-In Job Search and Résumé Help
Thursday, August 17    2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Adults — An Illinois WorkNet representative will be available to answer your job search questions and provide résumé assistance. Location: Study Room B.


Smallville SUPERFEST Book Sale
Friday, August 18 - Saturday, August 26   
Adults — The Friends of the Library Book Sale will be held in the meeting room during regular library hours. On August 26th all items will be sold for $4.00 a bag (bags are provided) and the sale will close at 2:00 p.m. All VHS tapes & audio cassettes will be given away on the last day of the sale.

Adults — Find out what the Library of Congress and FamilySearch.org have to offer to genealogists.
