Adults — Both experienced and new genealogy researchers will enjoy the KenGen Genealogy Group sessions. Location: Board Room.


Wednesday Night Book Group
Wednesday, April 19    7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Adults — Get together with other readers for an interesting discussion. "George Washington's Secret Six" by Brian Kilmeade and Don Yaeger will be discussed. The book for May, "My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry" by Henning Koch will be available at the Check-Out Desk. No registration required. Newcomers are welcome any time.


Knit and Crochet Group
Thursday, April 20    10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Adults — This informal group works on their own projects, discusses types and colors of yarns, and helps each other with new or tricky patterns. They love to watch each other's projects develop. Participants bring their own supplies. They invite you to stop by and "yarn" awhile. No registration required.


Friends of the Library Book Sale
Friday, April 21 - Saturday April 29    All Day
Adults — The Friends of the Library Book Sale will be held in the meeting room during regular library hours. On April 29th all items will be sold for $4.00 a bag (bags are provided) and the sale will close at 2:00 p.m. All VHS tapes & audio cassettes will be given away on the last day of the sale.


Knit and Crochet Group

Writers' Group
Thursday, April 27    6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Adults and Teens — Come join other writers to discuss your work. Meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month in the Library Board Room. No registration required. Open to adults and high school students.


Music & Movement
Wednesday, May 3    10:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. OR 6:30 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
Kids — Join us for some of our favorite music and movement activities. Kids will get to use simple musical instruments, play with a parachute, and more. Be prepared to move and groove! For children 0-5 only, with a grown-up. Older siblings may wait in the Kids' Library during the program. Registration is required and can be done in person or by called 630-552-2025.

Let's Have a Tea Party!
Saturday, May 6    1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Kids — Celebrate spring with us at an afternoon of tea and refreshments. We'll talk about manners, tea history, and share tea stories. There will also be crafts and more. We'd love it if you dress up! Presented by Teas by Jo and Ceil.For independent students in grades 1-5. Parents and younger siblings may wait in the Kids' Library during the program. What's the Buzz on Bees and Honey?
Monday, May 8    6:30 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.
Adults — Certified beekeeper and Plano resident Hillard Bryant will explain why bees are crucial to our food supply, the difference between honeybees, wasps and hornets, what beekeeping is all about and, of course, the sweet appeal of honey. Location: Meeting Room.
