Adults, Teens and Kids — Build a Better World this summer with the Library’s Adult, Teen, and Kids' Summer Reading Programs! To get started, pick up your Reading Log at the Kids' Library or Adult Information Desk. We’ve got movies, trivia contests, and more for your summer fun.


Yoga for Teens
Wednesday, June 7    2:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. OR 7:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.
Kids & Teens — Teens will learn yoga poses to develop flexibility, focus, and how to breath and relax. Led by Cheyanne Diaz of Ultimate Dance on the Move. Yoga mats will be provided. Limit: 25. For students entering grades 6-12. Parents and younger siblings may wait in the Kids’ Library during the program. Call 630-552-2025 to register.

Teen Movie

Kids & Teens — Free movie targeted to teens, but open to all ages. Explore a new era of the Wizarding World before Harry Potter. Something mysterious is leaving a path of destruction in the streets of 1926 New York, threatening to expose the wizarding community. Newt Scamander arrives in the city nearing the end of a global excursion to research and rescue magical creatures. When unsuspecting No-Maj Jacob Kowalski inadvertently lets some of Newt’s beasts loose, a band of unlikely heroes must recover the missing beasts before they come to harm, but their mission puts them on a collision course with Dark forces. Rated PG-13. Refreshments served.

When high school senior Tripp discovers a gas-guzzling creature named Creech, the unlikely duo team up for a fun-filled, hilarious and heartfelt adventure in a real-life super-powered Monster Truck to reunite Creech with his family. Rated PG. Refreshments served.


Teen Movie
Monday, July 10    1:00 p.m. - 2:55 p.m.
Kids & Teens — Free movie targeted to teens, but open to all ages. From Marvel Studios the story of world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), whose life changes forever after a horrific car accident renders his hands useless. When traditional medicine fails him, he travels to remote Kamar-Taj in search of a cure, but instead discovers the mystical arts and becomes a powerful sorcerer battling dark forces bent on destroying our reality. Rated PG-13. Refreshments served.
